The Best of all Worlds

Behind the Creativity: Blog 3

Sometimes it’s tough to find a wide variety of services that can all be found around the same vicinity or even under one roof. Moreover, it can be challenging to explain your vision to someone who may not see it quite like you do. However, when you do find what you’re looking for, the journey to your final product seems so much easier.

For this week’s blog, I’d like to share with you a little bit about how our studio can provide you with the best of all worlds and how everything we do in our studio is under one roof and done in-house completely.

As you know by now, NEEZO Studios specializes in creating animations, renderings, virtual reality, augmented reality, interactive applications, motion graphics, configurators and much more. However, what I haven’t shared with you is the fact that NEEZO’s sister company, Xortus, is also in-house and sharing the same studio as NEEZO. Not only does this bring together the NEEZO and Xortus teams to unite as one big family, it also allows both companies to provide more diverse services that no other company can, that is of course under one roof.

Xortus specializes in creating architectural scale models, 3D prototypes, and laser cutting and engraving. (If you’re not well aware of what a scale model is, basically it is a miniature physical representation of a product or development).

As you can see above in the picture, NEEZO Studios and Xortus are able to come together and incorporate their services to make the most diverse final product. By tying interactive lights and augmented reality from NEEZO with the scale model produced by Xortus, the final outcome can be brought to life physically and virtually.

To be honest, it can be difficult for a client to have to work with many companies in order to achieve their final vision. That’s where we come in. NEEZO and Xortus may have two different names, but the ultimate final goal is achieved by one team, one ownership, under one studio. We want to ensure clients that our studio is a one-stop shop that really aims to bring their vision to life in the coolest way possible!

BTS of NEEZO Studios’ Producers Ball Animation

Behind the Creativity: Blog 2

It’s crazy to think that worlds and universes can be realistically created solely through computer graphics. Especially within the film industry, new methods are always being curated to thoroughly develop unimaginable worlds. Back in 2015, I had the super cool opportunity to be a part of something that involved building a world completely through technology. This cool project was NEEZO Studios’ 2015 Producer’s Ball Animation during the Toronto International Film Festival.

For this week’s blog, I wanted to tell you all about the process of making this super cool animation and how NEEZO Studios transformed it into the magical animation that you can watch above😊

To create the entire setting, the NEEZO team set up the green studio with our lights and cameras and started filming. The process where we were acting in the green room took about 3 days and that consisted of shooting multiple takes in order to get the perfect shots and angles. In order to get all of the proper angles and shots, the team set up a bunch of markers around the studio so that they would be able to refer to every point on the greenscreen while creating the final animation.

Once the acting phase was all finished, the team started to model everything so that they could drop us into the 3D world. By doing so, the team had to mix what was real into a fake digital setting by incorporating the two to create the final animation. After this process was completed, the team keyed the footage and motion tracked us into the rendered environment. Then the audio was added. So, things like sound effects and music were mixed into the animation in order to complete the final video.

When I was allowed to see the final cut of the video, I was in awe of how amazingly realistic it all looked. To see what the final animation looked like compared to the first phase of the project when I was acting on the green screen was truly incredible because the NEEZO team made something out of nothing. It was very cool to see the animation being played on the big screen throughout the entire Producer’s Ball party. This whole process of filming, modeling, tracking, and editing really made me get an understanding of how much hard work and time goes into creating what seems like a simple 90 second video to others. The NEEZO team really emphasized the fact that everything starts with a great idea, but it takes an amazing team to make the idea a reality.

Behind the Creativity: Blog 1

Hi! Welcome to Behind the Creativity.  My name is Chloé Maalouf and I will be in charge of writing every weekly blog post.
This blog will be posted every Tuesday and it will cover topics such as my experiences with what NEEZO Studios has to offer, Days in the life of the team who works here, Story times, and much more. Before we dive into the weekly blog posts, I wanted to introduce myself to you and tell you a little bit about what NEEZO Studios means to me.

After spending close to 15 years living and experiencing every moment with NEEZO Studios, I am proud to say that my parents, Marvin and Aline Maalouf, are the CEO/President and VP of the company. It has been a journey to reach this point and thankfully, I was given the opportunity to share with you the insights and highlights of what goes on behind the scenes at our creative studio. Growing up alongside the company has truly allowed me to experience every aspect that NEEZO Studios has to offer and I am super excited to share it with you. This blog is the perfect mix for the “social media butterfly” in me because I love to read/write and connect with likeminded individuals on social media. If you’ve ever been curious about how our creative minds flow or how we do what we do, then this blog is the special gateway to having all of your questions answered.

With that being said, I hope you’re as excited as I am for the upcoming posts and getting to know the inside scoop about NEEZO Studios. Like I mentioned earlier, Behind the Creativity will be posted every Tuesday at 5:30 pm (e.s.t). Feel free to connect with NEEZO Studios on all of its other social media pages, so you never miss an update 😀
